Art Journal Volume 18: Make your own stamp!

I love pizza!

I was recently inspired to make a whole bunch of pizza crafts. I made this fun painting a couple weeks ago. On the same day, I made the page I want to talk about today! I wanted to make a pizza background, but hand painting each little pizza would take too much time! I thought of this easy idea to make my own stamp! You can make whatever shape you want, but I’ll show you how to make your own pizza stamp!

Here is what you’ll need:
Foamie Sheet
Cardboard
Elmer’s Glue
Scissors
Pen or pencil

Project Time: 1 hour (plus drying time)
Project Difficulty: Easy

On the foamie sheet, draw your shape and use the scissor to cut out. Use this sheet as your template and trace it four more times on the foamie sheet. Cut each of these out as well.

Glue together each of the shapes into one stack, they may not line up perfectly (don’t worry about it!). Set aside and let dry.

Once dry, trim your stack of shapes for more even look (if you feel the need, I didn’t think it was necessary). Glue your stack to a piece of cardboard. Set aside and let dry.

Once this is dry, trim your cardboard for easy use.

Now stamp it up!

I made this pizza page with my stamp! I also used the end of marker to stamp my pepperoni.

What fun shapes did you create?! I foresee myself making more of my own stamps in the future.
Happy journaling!
