These are kind of amazing.

Have you every used these before? I am here to tell you they are amazing! I’ve been doing a lot of painting lately and I love to use these for little details!

But we are talking about art journals!

I decided to use paint markers this week on this fun textured page.

As always: discount shopper! I found this paper in my stash that has a texture that reveals a different color when you sand it down.

There were a variety of patterns, but this one had a tree bark pattern.

I don’t know why I thought of this, but the pattern for some reason made me think of “birds of a feather flock together.” So I used the paint markers to paint rainbow feathers across the top of the page. Because it was dark paper I had to go over it with two coats.

I used white to add the feather details and the caption. I still don’t know if I want to add a photo or leave it as is. I feel like this could be a “best friend” page – but I need a good photo that I don’t have in my sash! Drat!

How about you! Have you ever used paint markers?? What ways have you used them?! Do you love them as much as I do?
