Upcoming movies you won’t want to miss

January can be a long, cold month when the only thing you want to do is snuggle up on the couch and binge watch your favorite TV show, but there are plenty of new movies coming out in January 2019 that might make you want to get out of the house! Here’s our roundup of the most-anticipated upcoming movies in January 2019, including studio blockbusters and indie flicks alike, so you can find the best movie to see at the theater this month.

The Incredibles 2

Pixar’s long-awaited sequel to The Incredibles is tvlinkscom finally hitting theaters this summer, and it looks like it’s going to be worth the wait. The film picks up right where the first one left off, with the Parr family trying to adjust to life as superheroes. But they’ll have their work cut out for them when a new villain emerges with a plan to destroy them. With an all-star cast and plenty of action, this is sure to be one of the summer’s biggest hits. Here are some other exciting films that will be coming out in 2018:

Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse: Marvel fans will get another glimpse into Spider-Man’s world in December 2018 with this animated feature. Starring Jake Johnson (The New Girl) and Shameik Moore (Insecure), it follows Miles Morales, who takes on his idol Peter Parker’s mantle.

Mission Impossible 6

Ethan Hunt and his IMF team, along with some familiar allies, race against time after a mission gone wrong. Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt, and the movie is set to be released on July 27, 2018.

If you’re a fan of the Mission Impossible franchise, then you’ll definitely want to check out the sixth installment. It looks like it’s going to be full of action-packed sequences and heart-pounding moments. Be sure to catch Mission Impossible 6 in theaters this summer!

The movie is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action, violence and mayhem throughout and brief strong language. Due to some intense scenes, I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone under 10 years old. However if you’ve seen any other Mission Impossible movies, then I think you can handle all of those aspects in MI6 as well. In my opinion, MI6 is supposed to be an exhilarating experience, so don’t worry about being scared by anything too violent or scary because that’s not what these types of films are supposed to do.

Hotel Transylvania 3

In the third installment of the Hotel Transylvania franchise, Count Dracula (Adam Sandler) is worried that his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) is growing restless of their life at the hotel. To keep her happy, he takes her on a cruise ship, where she meets and falls in love with a human named Johnny (Andy Samberg). However, when Drac’s old enemy Van Helsing (Jim Gaffigan) shows up on the ship, things take a turn for the worse. Hotel Transylvania 3 is set to be released on July 13th, 2018.

Christopher Robin

In the heartwarming live action adventure Disney’s Christopher Robin, the young boy who shared countless adventures with his band of lovable stuffed animals in the Hundred Acre Wood is now all grown up and has lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin rediscover the joys of family, friendship and imagination.

The Spy Who Dumped Me (four sentences): Best friends Audrey (Mila Kunis) and Morgan (Kate McKinnon) are going about their usual insouciant lives when Audrey’s unassuming ex-boyfriend Drew (Justin Theroux) shows up at their apartment with a team of deadly assassins on his trail.

Black Panther

Get ready to sing and dance along with the cast of Mamma Mia 2! This long-awaited sequel hits theaters on July 20, 2018. The movie picks up ten years after the original left off, with Amanda Seyfried reprising her role as Sophie. This time around, she is pregnant and questioning whether or not she can handle being a mother. As always, the music is fantastic and will have you tapping your toes in your seat. Don’t miss Mamma Mia 2! In Tully, Tully is raising three children while also working two jobs to make ends meet. Her brother calls upon an old friend (Charlize Theron) to help take care of his sister’s kids and things get complicated when Theron starts developing feelings for Tully’s husband. Tully hit theaters on May 4th, 2018. It has been praised by critics for its portrayal of the struggle many women face between their personal lives and careers.

Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse: For all those fans out there who love superhero movies and cartoons alike this one is for you!

Mamma Mia 2

The highly anticipated sequel to the 2008 musical hit Mamma Mia! is set to be released on July 20, 2018. The movie will once again follow the story of Sophie Sheridan, played by Amanda Seyfried, as she prepares for her wedding while trying to uncover the identity of her father. Along with Seyfried, the film will also star Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, and Pierce Brosnan. If you loved the first movie, you’re sure to enjoy this one just as much! Another upcoming release that is bound to get a lot of attention is Crazy Rich Asians, a film adaptation of Kevin Kwan’s bestselling novel. The plot follows Rachel Chu (played by Constance Wu), an American-born Chinese economics professor who travels to Singapore with her boyfriend Nick Young (played by Henry Golding) for his best friend’s wedding – only to discover that Nick comes from one of the wealthiest families in Asia. As Rachel tries to balance both worlds and make sense of it all, it becomes clear that Nick’s status makes their relationship complicated in ways she never imagined.
