BCPS Schoology

If you are a parent of a child who attends a Baltimore County Public School, then you have probably heard about Schoology. Schoology is a learning management system that BCPS uses to manage student assignments, grades, and communication with parents. In this post, we will discuss some of the basics of Schoology so that you can be better equipped to help your child with their schoolwork. Schoology replaces Engrade

as BCPS’s primary learning management system. All students in grades 6-12 will have a Schoology account created for them by the district. Parents can also create an account in order to access their child’s information.

Schoology can be accessed through the website or by downloading the app on a mobile device. The website is https://baltimorecountyps.schoology.com/.

Once you have logged in, you will see your child’s courses listed on the left side of the screen. You can click on a course to see the assignment list, calendar, and other information for that class.

You can also use Schoology to message your child’s teachers. To do this, click on the “Inbox” icon in the top right corner of the screen. Then, click on “Compose Message” and select the teacher you would like to message from the drop-down menu.

For students, Schoology can provide a more organised and efficient way to keep track of their schoolwork. They can also use the platform to collaborate with classmates and get help from their teachers more easily.

ENROLLMENT

PROCESS FOR PARENTS1. Go to www.schoology.com2. Click on the “For Parents” tab3. Enter your child’s access code4. Create an account5. Follow the instructions to add your child to your account6. BUS INFORMATION

BCPS school buses transport more than 77,000 students – twice each school day – and we strive to provide safe and timely transportation for all students. If you have questions about bus transportation, please contact your child’s school.

EMERGENCY INFORMATION

In the event of an emergency, please make sure that your contact information is up to date in Schoology. You can update your contact information by going to the “Settings” menu and selecting “Contact Info.”
